Yaya Touré, the ex-Ivory Coast and Manchester City midfielder, is reportedly set to take on his first-ever managerial position with Belgian second-tier club Daring Brussels, according to Sport.

Currently, Touré serves as assistant coach for the Saudi Arabia national team under head coach Hervé Renard. His coaching resume also includes assistant roles at Standard Liège, Akhmat Grozny, and Olimpik Donetsk, as well as a stint as Tottenham Hotspur’s U-16 coach during Antonio Conte’s tenure in 2022.

If confirmed, the move to Daring Brussels would mark the 42-year-old’s first step into head management since retiring from professional football in 2019. Touré’s playing career spanned top European clubs including Barcelona, Monaco, and Olympiacos. He began his coaching journey after a final playing season with Qingdao Hainiu in China.
