Iheanacho Aims to be Fit for La Liga Opener with Sevilla

Kelechi Iheanacho aims to be fully fit for the start of the new La Liga season, according to NIGERIA NEWS 247.

Iheanacho signed a two-year contract with Spanish club Sevilla on Wednesday, following his departure from Premier League team Leicester City after his contract ended in June.

The forward, who has been inactive over the summer, is set to begin pre-season training with Sevilla. Although he admitted he is not yet at peak fitness, he is optimistic about his progress.

“I have had the chance to do personal training with a coach, which has helped my fitness,” Iheanacho said in an interview on Sevilla’s official website. “I’m not far from being 100% fit, and I hope to join the team soon to continue building my fitness. I’m aiming to be ready for the first game.”

Sevilla will kick off their season against Las Palmas.
