Serie A: Dele-Bashiru to Miss One Month Due to Muscle Injury

Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is expected to be sidelined for approximately one month after sustaining a muscle injury during the club’s 1-0 defeat to Roma last weekend, NIGERIA NEWS 247 reports.

The 24-year-old former Hatayspor star had to leave the pitch early in the intense Derby della Capitale match due to the injury.

Dele-Bashiru’s setback adds to Lazio’s injury concerns, with Matias Vecino and Nicolo Rovella already out of action.

The midfielder now faces uncertainty over his availability for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic next month.

So far this season, Dele-Bashiru has made four league appearances for Lazio.
