Labbadia Hasn’t Finalized Super Eagles Contract Despite NFF Announcement

Bruno Labbadia has not yet signed a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), despite an official announcement, NIGERIA NEWS 247 reports.

On Tuesday morning, the NFF issued a statement confirming Labbadia’s appointment as the next head coach of the national team.

“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles, effective immediately,” said Mohammed Sanusi, the Secretary General of the NFF.

However, it has now emerged that contractual details with Labbadia have not been finalized.

The federation aims to finalize the agreement by Friday or over the weekend, allowing the German coach to lead the Super Eagles in their AFCON qualifier against the Republic of Benin on September 7.

Nigeria will face Rwanda three days later in the same series of qualifiers.
