Liverpool injury update: Vital defender sidelined until May
Liverpool’s Conor Bradley is set to be sidelined for the remainder of April following an ankle injury sustained during Sunday’s unexpected Premier League loss to Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old, who has been a consistent starter for Liverpool since January, was forced off early in the second half of the match.
His absence is expected to last for up to three weeks, which could see him miss crucial fixtures including the Europa League quarter-final second leg against Atalanta and upcoming Premier League clashes with Fulham, Everton, and West Ham United.
Bradley’s injury may also cast doubt on his availability for the match against Tottenham Hotspur on May 5, which marks Jurgen Klopp’s penultimate game at Anfield before his departure from the club.
With Bradley sidelined, there could be an opportunity for Trent Alexander-Arnold to return to the starting lineup, although the decision may hinge on Klopp’s assessment of the situation and the risk associated with rushing Alexander-Arnold back into action.
Alternatively, Klopp could opt to reintroduce Joe Gomez, who has previously filled in at right-back earlier in the season.
