Nine Teams Now Eliminated from 2025 Club World Cup [Full List]

At least nine teams have been knocked out of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup taking place in the United States, with Atletico Madrid standing out as the most prominent exit.

The LaLiga side needed a significant goal difference boost in their final Group B match against Botafogo but could only secure a narrow 1-0 victory on Monday. Antoine Griezmann’s late strike in the 87th minute proved decisive but wasn’t enough to see Atletico through.

Atletico finished the group stage with four points, following a heavy 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and a 3-1 win over Seattle Sounders.

Seattle Sounders also bowed out after losing 2-0 to PSG in their last group fixture. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Achraf Hakimi scored in either half to seal the win for the Ligue 1 champions.

The other teams eliminated from the tournament so far include Al Ain, Wydad AC, Los Angeles FC, Auckland City, Pachuca, Ulsan Hyundai, and Urawa Red Diamonds.
