NWFL: Nasarawa Amazons Rewarded with N25m for Outstanding Season

Nasarawa Amazons have been awarded a cash prize of ₦25 million in recognition of their impressive performances during the 2024–25 football season.

In addition, the club’s technical crew received ₦5 million for their efforts in guiding the team to two major finals.

The Lafia-based side finished as runners-up in both the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoff and the President Federation Cup.

The rewards were announced by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, during a special reception held in Lafia to honour the team. As part of the gesture, the governor also presented a brand new Toyota Hiace bus to the club.

Nasarawa Amazons narrowly missed out on silverware after a dramatic 4-3 penalty shootout loss to Rivers Angels in the Federation Cup final held in Lagos.
