Paris 2024: Super Falcons Stronger Than Ever – Waldrum
Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum believes his team has made significant strides since the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. After an impressive run to the Round of 16, where they faced tough opponents like Canada, Australia, and England, the Falcons have since lost only once. They recently secured an Olympic spot by defeating arch-rivals South Africa.
As they prepare for their upcoming group stage matches against Brazil, Spain, and Japan in Paris, Waldrum expressed confidence in his squad.
“I like what I have been seeing. We had a productive time in Spain, and since arriving in France, things have been fantastic,” he told reporters.
He emphasized that his players are in better shape now compared to a year ago and are eager to demonstrate their improvement against Brazil, a formidable opponent.
