Real Madrid honor Petrovic in special tribute
Real Madrid paid tribute to club legend Drazen Petrovic on Thursday, honoring his legacy 30 years after his death in 1993. The tribute took place at Zagreb Arena during a game between Croatia’s national team and a team of European players, which featured Real Madrid’s Hezonja, Tavares, and Musa.
Alberto Herreros, Real Madrid’s basketball technical director, and Felipe Reyes represented the club at the event. In a special moment during the second quarter, they presented a commemorative plaque and a Real Madrid jersey with the number 5—Petrovic’s number—to his brother, Asa Petrovic.
Petrovic, who played for Real Madrid during the 1988/89 season, left a lasting impact on the club.
