Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal will sport a new shirt number starting from the 2024/2025 season. According to ESPN, the 17-year-old will be assigned the No. 19 shirt, the same number he wears for Spain.

Last season, Yamal played with a youth team registration but will be officially promoted to the first team for the 2024-25 campaign.

This promotion means a new shirt number for Yamal, who shone as La Roja won Euro 2024.

Amid much speculation and anticipation over whether the young star would take the legendary No. 10 shirt famously worn by Messi, Yamal has chosen the No. 19.
