Transfer: Man Utd Receives Green Light to Sign Two New Players
Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee and Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt have given the go-ahead for a move to Manchester United this summer.
Zirkzee has a €40 million release clause in his contract, while De Ligt will cost United around €50 million.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on X this Sunday: “Manchester United have received the green light from both Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt to join the club.
“Both players have spoken to Erik ten Hag, and Manchester United is now ready to proceed with negotiations in the coming days.
“All terms regarding salary and commission have also been agreed upon for Zirkzee.”
United’s transfer activities had been delayed due to uncertainty surrounding manager Erik ten Hag’s future. However, the former Ajax boss has now signed a contract extension at Old Trafford.
