Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has ruled out the sale of young full-back Rico Lewis amid strong interest from Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest had reportedly made a £25 million offer for the versatile England international, but City rejected the bid. Lewis, 20, has already made five appearances for England and can play both as a full-back and in midfield.

Speaking about Lewis’s future, Guardiola said, “I think he’s going to stay. He told me that. Today, I think he’s going to stay, but I don’t know what’s going to happen…”

The City boss seems confident that Lewis will remain at the Etihad beyond this summer transfer window.
