Official: Akanji Joins Osimhen at Galatasaray Transfer Move

Manchester City defender, Manuel Akanji could be set to join compatriot Victor Osimhen at Turkish giants Galatasaray this summer.

According to football insider Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have officially approached Manchester City regarding a potential deal for the Swiss international.

The Turkish club is eager to strengthen their squad in the upcoming transfer window, with Akanji identified as a key target to bolster their central defense.

In addition to talks with Manchester City, Galatasaray have also engaged directly with Akanji’s agent to negotiate personal terms.

However, the 30-year-old defender will need to make a final decision about his future at City before the summer transfer window closes in the coming days.

Akanji was an unused substitute as Manchester City cruised to a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth in their Premier League opener last weekend.

This season, Akanji faces stiff competition for a starting role from John Stones, Rúben Dias, and Abdukodir Khusanov under Pep Guardiola’s management.
