UEFA Champions League: Three Clubs Secure Qualification
Three clubs secured their spots in the revamped 36-team Champions League after advancing through the second legs of their play-offs on Wednesday.
The teams are Young Boys, Red Bull Salzburg, and Sparta Prague.
Young Boys advanced with a 4-2 aggregate victory over Galatasaray, sealing the tie with a 1-0 away win, thanks to Alan Virginius’ 87th-minute goal in Turkey.
Salzburg earned their sixth consecutive appearance in the competition, following a 1-1 home draw against Dynamo Kyiv, securing a 3-1 aggregate win. They will join fellow Austrian club Sturm Graz in Thursday’s draw.
Sparta Prague also progressed, completing a 4-0 aggregate win over Malmo with a 2-0 victory in the second leg.
The last four places will be decided on Wednesday.
