CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women Draw Unveiled, Sets the Stage for a Thrilling Championship
The CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women officially took shape following the Drawing of Lots at the historic Castello Normanno-Svevo in Bari. This event determined the pool compositions for the 34th edition of Europe’s premier women’s volleyball tournament, featuring 24 national teams competing across four host countries: Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden.
Each host nation exercised its right to select one opponent before the main draw commenced: Türkiye chose Latvia, Czechia picked Austria, Azerbaijan selected Portugal, and Sweden opted for Montenegro.
Pool Breakdown:
Pool A (Türkiye)
Türkiye, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Slovenia, Hungary
→ Türkiye will face Poland again, revisiting their intense 2023 quarter-final encounter.
Pool B (Czechia)
Czechia, Austria, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece
→ Serbia, the 2023 silver medallists, join co-host Czechia in a highly competitive group.
Pool C (Azerbaijan)
Azerbaijan, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Spain
→ The Netherlands, bronze medallists from 2023, aim to maintain their strong form.
Pool D (Sweden)
Sweden, Montenegro, Italy, France, Slovakia, Croatia
→ Italy, reigning World and Olympic champions, headline a tough pool featuring hosts Sweden and several top European teams.
The tournament format allows the top four teams from each pool to advance to the Round of 16, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated after the group stage.
