Following 5G tests carried out in Freetown in October 2023, the upgrades have been announced. Orange has cautioned its customers about potential service quality problems and interruptions that might arise during the network transition.

Nevertheless, the telecommunications company has assured users that it is actively working to reduce any disruptions during this upgrade process.

“We want to reassure all our customers that we are implementing all necessary measures to mitigate the impact”, stated Orange in their announcement.
