Another prominent US billionaire publicly backs Trump following assassination attempt
Billionaire Bill Ackman, CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, formally endorses President Donald Trump following the attempted assassination in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
According to Fox News, Ackman’s endorsement post has garnered over 19 million views since it was posted late Saturday night. This follows Elon Musk’s announcement of his full support for Trump shortly after the assassination attempt.
“I made this decision some time ago, as many of my followers already know from my supportive posts about Trump and my criticisms of President Biden,” Ackman stated.
He explained that he had not formally endorsed Trump earlier because he wanted to thoroughly articulate his reasoning and address opposing arguments.
“We all have a responsibility to take a stand,” Ackman wrote in a subsequent post on Sunday, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming presidential election, which he described as one of the most significant in his lifetime.
Ackman mentioned spending several hours recently with Trump and urged voters to keep an open mind. He acknowledged the need for a detailed explanation of his position in the future.
