Biden Backs Kamala Harris as Presidential Nominee

President Joe Biden has officially endorsed Kamala Harris as his preferred nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

On Sunday, Biden made the announcement on his official X account, shortly after withdrawing from the race. He stated that stepping aside was in the best interest of both his party and the nation, allowing him to concentrate on his presidential duties for the remainder of his term.

“I have decided not to seek the nomination and to dedicate my efforts solely to my responsibilities as President,” Biden said. “Choosing Kamala Harris as my Vice President in 2020 was the best decision I could have made.

“Today, I fully support and endorse Kamala as our party’s nominee this year. Democrats, it’s time to unite and defeat Trump. Let’s make it happen,” he concluded.
