Donald Trump Casts His Vote in Florida, Expresses Confidence in Victory
Former President Donald Trump cast his ballot in Florida on Election Day, accompanied by his wife, Melania Trump. After voting at his Palm Beach precinct, Trump expressed strong confidence in his chances of winning the election.
“I’m very confident, it won’t even be close,” Trump told reporters. “I feel very confident. I hear we’re doing very well everywhere.”
While expressing optimism, Trump acknowledged that the certification of results might take longer than expected. “It’s gonna take a long time to certify,” he added.
Trump has repeatedly voiced his frustration with the slow process of counting ballots, particularly mail-in votes. He has often pointed to the French election system as an example of a faster, more efficient process.
In Pennsylvania, where laws prohibit the processing of mail-in ballots before 7 a.m. on Election Day, this delay in processing can lead to slower reporting of results. To address this, officials in Philadelphia have implemented an industrial-scale ballot-counting operation, utilizing machines capable of scanning and counting thousands of ballots per hour.
