Donald Trump to attend Black journalists’ convention in Chicago
Former President Donald Trump is set to participate in the annual convention of the National Association of Black Journalists taking place in Chicago this Wednesday.
Donald Trump, the former President of United States, is set to be present at the annual convention of the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago this Wednesday.
According to a statement from his campaign issued on Monday evening, the Republican presidential candidate will engage in a Q&A session focused on critical issues impacting the Black community.
For several months, Trump’s campaign has been working to arrange events in regions that are not typically aligned with his core supporters, including his earlier appearance at the Libertarian Party convention in Washington, where he faced significant booing.
The campaign highlighted Trump’s policies in its announcement, claiming they positively impacted Black Americans during his initial term.
Since President Joe Biden assumed office in 2021, his approval ratings among Black voters have significantly declined.
However, the dynamics of the race against Trump have changed since the president endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who could become both the first Black woman and the first South Asian American president if she wins in November.
