Elon Musk Calls for Resignation of Secret Service Chief Amid Trump Assassination Attempt

Billionaire businessman Elon Musk has called for the resignation of United States Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following the assassination attempt on former President and Republican Party candidate Donald Trump.

NIGERIA NEWS 247 reports that two people died after gunshots were fired at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The injured former president was rushed off stage by security staff, according to the Associated Press.

Despite the Secret Service neutralizing the shooter, Musk demanded the resignation of both the Secret Service head and the leader of Trump’s security detail.

His call came in response to a BBC report stating an eyewitness claimed to have alerted police and the Secret Service about a suspicious man on a roof with a rifle, but was allegedly ignored.

Musk stated, “The head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security detail should resign.”

Meanwhile, NIGERIA NEWS 247 previously reported that Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump for the upcoming presidential election following the attack at his Pennsylvania rally.

Musk expressed his full support for Trump while wishing him a quick recovery.
