Flames and smoke rises from buildings hit by Israeli airstrikes on the southern suburb of Beirut

An Israeli airstrike aimed at an office belonging to a Beirut-based television station has resulted in the death of one individual, according to reports from Lebanon’s Health Ministry. In addition to the fatality, the strike injured five others, including a child who sustained serious injuries and has since been hospitalized.

The targeted office belongs to Al-Mayadeen, a pan-Arab television channel that has political ties to Hezbollah, the Lebanese group classified as a terrorist organization by several countries.

The airstrike occurred in the vicinity of Jnah and Ouzai, located on the outskirts of Beirut’s southern suburbs. Al-Mayadeen has condemned the attack, asserting that it holds the Israeli government responsible for targeting a well-known media organization.

In a statement, Al-Mayadeen declared, “The Israeli occupation is accountable for the assault on a recognized media outlet.” The identity of the deceased individual remains undisclosed at this time.

Additionally, Al-Mayadeen indicated that their office had been evacuated prior to the strike, and they emphasized that the Israeli military did not provide any prior warning before the attack occurred.

This incident highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and raises questions about the targeting of media facilities amid escalating hostilities.
