Military coup underway in Bolivia

According to video circulating on social media, there is a report of  a purported military coup underway in Bolivia. The reports have it that the troops have stormed presidential palace.

However, the President had earlier warned of ‘irregular movement’ of troops in the capital. It is unclear if President is inside or not.

In Bolivia, an ongoing military coup seeks to depose President Luis Arce’s socialist government.

General Juan José Zúñiga declared to the press, “we are going to recover this homeland,” as Bolivian forces breached the Presidential Palace.
