Paul Biya is Alive, confirms Camerounian minister, Rene Emmanuel
Camerounian authorities have confirmed that President Paul Biya is alive and well.
In a statement on state radio, Communications Minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi assured the public that the President is in good health and will return to the country shortly.
Additionally, André Magnus Ekoumou, Cameroun’s ambassador to France, denied rumors that President Biya had been hospitalized in Clamart or elsewhere in France, expressing frustration over the false claims. He stated that the President is currently in Geneva, Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Labor and Social Security Minister Grégoire Owona announced that the government will pursue those spreading misinformation about the President’s health.
He emphasized that appropriate measures will be taken against those responsible for the rumors, regardless of their location.
