Former US President Donald Trump has claimed he is “supposed to be dead” after surviving an assassination attempt during a rally in Pennsylvania. Describing the incident as a “very surreal experience,” Trump told the New York Post, “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead.”

The report noted that Trump has a white bandage covering his right ear, which was grazed by a bullet during the campaign rally on Saturday. The attack resulted in the death of an innocent bystander and injured two other people.

Trump admitted that he would have been killed if he hadn’t tilted his head slightly to the right while reading a chart on illegal immigrants during his speech. He expressed gratitude, saying, “By luck or by God, many people are saying it’s by God I’m still here.”
