Veteran American Actor Martin Mull Passes Away
Veteran American comic actor and musician, Martin Mull, has passed away at the age of 80.
Mull died at his home in Los AngelesĀ on Thursday. His wife, Wendy Mull, confirmed his death on Friday, stating that he had been battling a long illness, though no specific cause was provided.
His daughter, TV writer and comic artist Maggie Mull, also confirmed his passing. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists, comedians, musicians, and ā the sign of a truly exceptional person ā by many, many dogs.”
Melissa Joan Hart, Mull’s co-star in the series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ paid tribute to him on Instagram, describing him as “a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”
Martin Mull gained widespread attention in the 1970s with roles in shows such as ‘Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman’ and ‘Fernwood 2-Night.’ He remained active in television and film throughout the next half-century.
