First-class graduates from Imo State University (IMSU) have been granted automatic employment by the state government

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has sanctioned the immediate employment of two top-tier law graduates from Imo State University, Owerri.

Uzodimma revealed this during a presentation ceremony at the Government House in Owerri, attended by the state’s chief, Theresa Chikeka, and the University’s Vice Chancellor, U.U. Chukwumaeze.

The graduates, Chinonso Oparaji and Chipuruime Udeh, both achieved first-class honors in law from IMSU and the Nigerian Law School.

The Governor shared the news on his various social media platforms, stating, “In a significant move aimed at recognizing academic excellence, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has approved the immediate employment of two outstanding Imo indigenes, Chinonso Oparaji and Mrs. Chipuruime Udeh.”

During their visit to the Government House, accompanied by dignitaries including the Vice Chancellor of IMSU, Prof. U.U. Chukwumaeze (SAN), and the Chief Judge of Imo State, Theresa Chikeka, Governor Uzodimma warmly received the graduates.

Highlighting the value of hard work and dedication, the Governor commended the university management and faculty for fostering an environment conducive to academic success. He reiterated his commitment to enhancing the educational sector in line with the state’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In response to the Governor’s commendable gesture, Barr. Oparaji and Barr. (Mrs.) Udeh, accompanied by their families, expressed gratitude for the recognition of their hard work and encouraged younger Imolites to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
