Unizik gets new registrar
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has announced the appointment of Mr. Samuel Nnaemeka Ufoh as the new Acting Registrar of the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone, conveyed this in a letter made available to the media on Monday.
The letter stated: “In the absence of the Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and in the exercise of my powers as the Vice-Chancellor, I hereby appoint you as Acting Registrar of the University, effective from Monday, 8th April 2024.
You will hold this position until a substantive Registrar is appointed, unless any unforeseen circumstances dictate otherwise.
I trust that your performance will justify the confidence placed in this appointment.”
Ufoh assumes the role following the retirement of Barrister Philomena Okoye on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Prior to his appointment, Ufoh served as Deputy Registrar 1 in charge of the Personnel Unit of the Registry.
He is a pastor at the Foursquare Gospel Church and hails from Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
