The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set the 2024/2025 admission cut-off marks at 100 for both universities and polytechnics, as well as Colleges of Education (COEs).

The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, emphasized that no university, polytechnic, or college of education is permitted to admit candidates below these minimum cut-off requirements. Institutions are also required to adhere strictly to their respective admission requirements as stipulated in the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Providing statistics on the 2023 admissions, Oloyede noted that out of 5,261 candidates who scored 300 and above in the UTME, 1,273 were not admitted. Among the 41,466 candidates who scored 250 and above, 15,399 were not admitted. Out of 296,909 candidates who scored 200 and above, 138,754 were not admitted.
