Paris 2024: List of Prestigious Celebrities who performed at the Olympic Opening Ceremony

Céline Dion, the Canadian-French vocalist, marked the commencement of the 2024 Paris Olympics with her first live performance since revealing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in 2022.

She delivered a rendition of L’Hymne à l’amour, originally by French artist Édith Piaf, from a stage situated at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

American rapper Snoop Doggy was among the artists who took the stage at the vibrant opening ceremony, where participants from various nations floated by in a variety of colorful boats on the River Seine.

Additionally, Lady Gaga launched the performances for the Olympics with her interpretation of Zizi Jeanmaire’s Mon Truc En Plumes, performed on a staircase by the Seine.

Surrounded by pink feathers, her short performance evoked memories of her Jazz and Piano residency in Las Vegas and seemed to honor Jeanmaire’s original rendition on The Ed Sullivan Show. After finishing her descent down the stairs, Gaga joined a chorus line and played a piano.
