Troops Eliminate Two Terrorists and Seize Arms in Kaduna
Troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State have successfully neutralized two terrorists and recovered arms following a decisive ambush on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
According to a statement from the Department of Army Public Relations, the troops conducted a well-coordinated ambush based on actionable intelligence along the Tasha-Bwari Road, a key route connecting Gurara town in Kachia and Kagarko local government areas.
During the operation, the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the neutralization of two terrorists while others fled with gunshot wounds. The operation also led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle with a magazine containing 27 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, two machetes, two mobile phones, and N80,000 in cash, along with other supplies.
The statement highlighted that this successful operation not only thwarted a potential terrorist attack but also dealt a significant blow to the terrorist network in the state. It underscores the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Kaduna State and surrounding areas.
