Governor Makinde Officially Informed of Olubadan Oba Olakulehin’s Passing

Chief Adebayo Oyero, a former President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), has formally informed Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of the death of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.

Oyero delivered the news to the governor on Monday afternoon during a visit to the Courtesy Room at the Governor’s Office in Agodi, Ibadan. He was accompanied by members of the late monarch’s family.

Reports of the Olubadan’s passing had begun circulating earlier on Monday morning. Oba Olakulehin, who was installed as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, July 12, 2024, passed away at the age of 90.

The late monarch hailed from the Okugbaja Compound in Ita Baale Ori Okiti, located in the Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State.
