Rainstorm destroys over 100 houses in Kebbi community

A severe rainstorm that hit Zogirma village, Bunza Local Government Area, Kebbi State over the weekend destroyed more than 100 houses, leaving several residents injured and dozens of families displaced.

  • The downpour occurred between Saturday night and early Sunday, causing widespread destruction.

  • Community members reported multiple injuries and significant displacement.

  • Malam Muhammed Umar Mawo, Secretary of Bunza Local Government, visited the village to assess the damage and express sympathy on behalf of the council chairman.

  • Displaced residents are urgently appealing for assistance, including roofing materials, food supplies, and medical care, as they work to recover from the disaster.
