Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the PDP presidential candidate, has warned against staging protests over the current economic difficulties, suggesting they might not end peacefully.

Bwala, who is preparing to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, drew a parallel with recent events in Kenya, indicating that protests often lead to violence, leaving the government unaffected while the public suffers.

He stated, “While everyone has the constitutional right to protest and express dissent, the current climate suggests that these protests may not end peacefully. Historical precedents, such as the situation in Kenya, show that while the government continues its operations, protests can result in chaos, including destruction and looting. Ultimately, the very people the protests aim to help might end up worse off, with continued hunger and deprivation.”

Bwala added, “I’m pleased to see President Tinubu actively working to address the needs of the Nigerian people, despite the challenges.”
