The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has called on those planning a nationwide protest against the Federal Government over economic hardship to reconsider and cancel the proposed demonstration.

The Benin Monarch made this appeal in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Osaigbobo Iguobaro, which was made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Benin City.

The monarch advised aggrieved Nigerians to allow the federal government sufficient time to implement its economic policies, which are expected to alleviate the current hardships being experienced.
