#EndBadGovernance: Soldiers ambushed us, shot live rounds – Abuja protester
A participant in the #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria demonstration in Abuja claimed that soldiers launched an ambush on them last Friday while they were trying to march near the MKO Abiola National Stadium.
According to NIGERIA NEWS247, law enforcement used tear gas against the protesters in the vicinity of the National Hospital.
Zaye Michael, who founded the Passion for Positive Change Initiative, made this assertion during a gathering at the stadium on Saturday.
He accused police and Department of State Services personnel of retreating, which allowed soldiers to encircle them with multiple rounds of tear gas canisters, forcing them to seek refuge in nearby bushes.
He also said that they remained in the bushes for nearly four hours while the military shot live rounds.
