JAMB to Announce 2025 Admission Cut-Off Marks on July 8
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that it will release the official admission cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic session on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The announcement will take place during the annual Policy Meeting on Admissions, a key gathering of stakeholders in Nigeria’s education sector.
The cut-off marks will apply to all categories of tertiary institutions across the country—including universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics. These benchmarks represent the minimum scores required for candidates seeking admission into various academic programs.
While institutions may set additional admission requirements, JAMB has made it clear that no school is permitted to admit candidates who score below the national minimum threshold. The policy meeting will also review and finalize guidelines on admission timelines, merit-based selection processes, and implementation of the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Students, parents, and education stakeholders are keenly awaiting the outcome, as the cut-off marks play a critical role in determining candidates’ chances of gaining admission. The annual meeting has become a cornerstone in Nigeria’s higher education system, helping to standardize admission practices and promote fairness and transparency across institutions.
JAMB has reassured the public that this year’s process will be inclusive, evidence-based, and aligned with national educational priorities.
