NNPCL chief Mele Kyari loses daughter; Tinubu, Shettima offer condolences

President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to Mr. Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), following the death of his daughter, Fatima, who passed away at the age of 25 after a prolonged illness.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu offered his sympathies to Kyari and his family for their profound loss. He prayed for Fatima’s soul to rest in peace and encouraged the family to remain strong during this challenging time.

Vice President Kashim Shettima also conveyed his condolences, praying for Fatima’s peaceful repose and asking for strength for the family as they navigate this difficult period.

VP Shettima attended the funeral prayers held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja, joining others in mourning the loss of a young life.
