Sim Fubara and Nyesom Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has admitted his error in endorsing Siminalayi Fubara as his successor for the governorship of Rivers State.

During a function in Ogu Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State on Saturday, Nyesom Wike expressed regret to the locals for his error. He acknowledged being fallible as a human and promised to rectify the mistake at the right moment.

It’s important to be honest about our mistakes in life. When we mess up, it’s crucial to acknowledge it, seek forgiveness from both God and others, and commit to making things right when the time is right.

As a person, I acknowledge that errors are inevitable and my decisions may not always be correct. Therefore, I ask for understanding when I make mistakes. Life is full of uncertainties, and no one should resort to extreme measures like self-harm, as emphasized by Wike.

A few days back, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude towards Wike for backing his gubernatorial bid in Rivers State, emphasizing that he will not idolize him.

Nevertheless, the Minister emphasized the importance of politicians expressing gratitude towards their supporters for helping them achieve their positions, rather than displaying ingratitude.

I hold admiration for individuals who recognize and value the blessings bestowed upon them by God, as well as those facilitated by others through divine intervention. God’s assistance is channeled through people to aid one another, rather than descending directly from above.

When you receive assistance, you show gratitude to those who help you, and in turn, God will recognize your appreciation towards Him as well. I have never instructed anyone to worship me; it is impossible for a person to be worshipped.

As a collective, we share the belief in a singular deity whom we worship exclusively and will always honor. However, in the realm of politics, one must acknowledge and value those who have provided support and assistance.
