The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano, Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa, has dismissed the purported suspension of the Party’s National Leader and Presidential Candidate, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, and Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, stating that those responsible were previously expelled from the Party.

Dungurawa clarified, “These individuals who claim to have suspended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were expelled long ago from the Party due to numerous instances of anti-party activities and collusion with opposition forces to destabilize the NNPP.”

Addressing the alleged extension of the suspension period by Umar Jibrin and Omalara Johnson in a recent communique, Dungurawa pointed out a critical inconsistency in their actions. “There’s a fundamental flaw in their approach,” he remarked.

He further accused the crisis within NNPP of being orchestrated by political opponents who fear the potential ascent of Kwankwaso as Nigeria’s President in 2027. Dungurawa assured that NNPP remains a significant emerging political force poised to field the next president of Nigeria, despite efforts by government and APC leadership to undermine it.
