Odukwe, who initially defected from PDP to LP ahead of the general election, returned to PDP and was warmly received by the PDP LGA party chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, during the party’s monthly meeting held on Sunday.

Okonji attributed the departure of some PDP members to impatience, which he believed had deprived them of significant opportunities within the party.

“PDP remains the predominant political party in Oshimili South. Those who left the party will eventually come back and reunite with the political family,” he stated.

He urged party leaders, especially at the ward level, to make efforts to reconcile with disaffected members and those who left for trivial reasons, assuring them that PDP is inclusive and welcoming.

Okonji expressed gratitude to Odukwe for his decision to return to PDP and assured him and other returnees of the party’s commitment to internal democracy and their well-being.
