Burglars make off with Car from Residence of Newcastle Star Isak
Thieves targeted Isak’s residence in Darras Hall, Northumberland, just 48 hours before his match for Newcastle, where they stole a vehicle.
Northumbria Police received a burglary report around 1005 BST on Thursday, indicating entry to the property and theft of the vehicle earlier that day. The car was later discovered abandoned in the Dissington area, with the perpetrators having fled.
Whether Isak or his family were present during the incident remains unknown. This burglary follows a similar incident involving Isak’s teammate Joelinton three months prior, where his Darras Hall estate home was also targeted.
Instances like these highlight the vulnerability of affluent Premier League players to burglary, as seen with the raid on Jack Grealish’s Cheshire residence in December.
During City’s Premier League match against Everton, the thieves made off with jewellery and watches. “This has been a distressing ordeal for all of us, and I’m immensely relieved that nobody was injured,” Grealish remarked at the time.
