Sporting Lagos Stadium Unaffected by Coastal Road Project, Says GM

Godwin Enakhena, the general manager of Sporting Lagos, has confirmed that their stadium remains unaffected by the Federal Government’s coastal road project. Enakhena made this announcement on his X handle.

According to Enakhena, the stadium’s construction was delayed due to issues with the contractors. However, he noted that the contractors have now commenced laying the pitch.

Situated at Landmark, Lekki Lagos, the stadium boasts a capacity of 3,000 seats. Enakhena emphasized, “Sporting Lagos are not affected by the Coastal Line issue.” He further expressed disappointment over the contractor’s delay in completing the stadium, mentioning that matches should have been played there last season.

Enakhena visited the site recently and observed progress, particularly with the pitch laying process. Describing the location as adjacent to the waters and offering a delightful atmosphere for sports activities, he expressed optimism for the stadium’s completion.
