Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stated that his team would need to achieve 114 points to secure the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City.

The Gunners have finished as runners-up behind City for the past two seasons, with Pep Guardiola’s side winning by a five-point margin in the 2022/2023 season and by just two points in 2023/2024.

Arteta believes that reaching this milestone is crucial for Arsenal to surpass the reigning champions. When asked about the requirements to dethrone City, Arteta said, “114 points. If we reach that, we are guaranteed to win the league.”

He added, “Our goal is to earn the right to win and maximize our chances against the competition. We must ensure that even when we face challenges, we remain superior to our opponents. That’s our ultimate objective.”
