Arsenal Hijack Tottenham’s Bid for Eberechi Eze After Havertz Injury

Arsenal have reportedly stepped in to challenge Tottenham Hotspur’s bid to sign Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.

According to The Athletic, the Gunners are keen to secure the 27-year-old midfielder, especially after Kai Havertz suffered a knee injury that is currently being assessed. Arsenal are acting swiftly to strengthen their attacking options.

As of Wednesday, Tottenham and Crystal Palace were close to finalizing negotiations for Eze, with the player having already agreed on personal terms with Spurs. However, Eze—who developed at Arsenal’s Hale Academy—prefers a return to the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly held talks with Eze, and it remains uncertain whether the Gunners will succeed in signing him this summer.
