The match produced a nine-goal spectacle, with Bayern Munich initially taking the lead through a penalty converted by Harry Kane. PSG responded through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before João Neves put the French side ahead with a header.

Bayern briefly believed they had equalised before halftime through Michael Olise, but PSG regained control when they were awarded another penalty, which was converted by Ousmane Dembélé.

Kompany, who watched the game from the stands due to a UEFA suspension, later joined the post-match briefing where he and Enrique shared a brief exchange reflecting on the encounter.

Enrique asked whether he had enjoyed watching the match from the stands, to which Kompany responded bluntly, “No.”

The former Manchester City captain elaborated that the experience was not one he would prefer, adding that he had told Enrique he could not understand how he enjoys observing matches from that vantage point.

“It wasn’t the position I’d have liked to watch the game from. I told Luis Enrique I don’t understand how he likes to watch games from the stands!” Kompany said.
