1. Bola Tinubu on Tuesday formally signalled the commencement of his 2027 re-election bid after purchasing the presidential nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja. The combined fee of N100 million was reportedly paid on his behalf by loyalists and support groups drawn from different parts of the country.

2. The African Democratic Congress, led by David Mark, on Tuesday formally petitioned the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, urging the Supreme Court to expedite judgment in its ongoing leadership dispute. The party stated that the appeal became necessary to prevent irreparable damage that could hinder its ability to field candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Olanipekun Olukoyede, has warned that approximately six out of every 10 students in Nigerian universities are involved in cybercrime activities. Sources at the local health facility indicated that the situation has deteriorated in recent days, with an estimated two to three deaths being recorded daily.
