Kompany suggested that the return fixture is likely to mirror the high-tempo nature of the first leg, insisting that neither side is expected to alter its attacking philosophy.

“PSG simply won’t accept doing things differently. And neither will we. That’s how both teams are!” he said, indicating that another open and aggressive contest should be expected in Munich.

Speaking to the press after the match, Kompany—who watched the game from the stands due to a UEFA suspension—expressed hope that Bayern would overturn the first-leg result. He also referenced key refereeing decisions during the match, including a penalty awarded to PSG that he described as controversial.

“I just hope it will be us to win… The penalty against us was highly debatable. The ball hits the body first and then his arm. The atmosphere next week at Allianz Arena will be crazy,” he added.

The first leg in Paris ended 5-4 in favour of the hosts after a dramatic encounter.

Bayern Munich took the lead through a penalty converted by Harry Kane before PSG equalised via Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. João Neves then put PSG ahead with a header.

Michael Olise briefly restored parity for Bayern before PSG were awarded another penalty, which was converted by Ousmane Dembélé.

After the break, PSG extended their advantage with further goals from Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé, while Bayern mounted a late response through Dayot Upamecano and Luis Díaz, setting up a tense second-leg showdown in Munich.
