Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may be without Riccardo Calafiori for next weekend’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Calafiori was forced to withdraw from Italy’s squad on Sunday due to a calf injury sustained during their 3-1 Nations League victory over France on Friday. The 22-year-old was substituted in the 71st minute of that game.

The Italian Football Association has confirmed that Calafiori has left the national team camp and will return to the UK for further medical evaluations.

Italy is scheduled to play Israel in their next Nations League fixture on Monday evening.

Arteta is also dealing with the absence of Declan Rice, who is sidelined due to a controversial red card received in the 1-1 draw against Brighton last weekend.
