Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his readiness to offer congratulations to any team that surpasses them for the title. Guardiola’s comments followed their 5-1 victory over Luton Town on Saturday, a win that temporarily propelled the champions to the summit of the Premier League table.

With 73 points and six matches remaining, City finds themselves in the midst of an exhilarating three-way title race. They currently hold a two-point lead over both Arsenal and Liverpool, who have the opportunity to overtake City with wins in their respective matches on Sunday.

“For a brief period, we’re at the top,” Guardiola remarked to the BBC. “Tomorrow they have their matches; our focus remains on winning our own games, and should we fall short, we’ll extend our congratulations to them.”
